Football League Division One Champions 1993-2002

In 1992 the 22 Division One clubs resigned en masse from the Football League and formed the FA Premier League. At the end of the 1991-92 season promotion and relegation took place as normal between Div 1 and Div 2 and the 22 clubs which would have formed Div 1 of the Football League for season 1992-93 became the founder members of the new FA Premier League. Consequently the remaining divisions of the Football League were renumbered and Division Two became Divsion One.
